GRACE (YESEUL) KIM (She/Her)

MFT INTERN

Grace (Yeseul) is currently a student at Seattle Pacific University pursuing her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. Helping people improve their mental health has long been Grace’s calling. She initially pursued a biochemistry degree with the goal of becoming a psychiatrist but found a different path after becoming a small group leader in her college ministry. Through this experience, she discovered a passion for offering one-on-one and small group support, realizing her true calling lay in being a compassionate listener. She decided on a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy as her passion grew to help couples and families navigate the often-difficult waters of love.

“My own experiences of pain and hurt in the midst of deep love have fueled my desire to help partners, parents, and children through similar journeys” says Grace. In her therapeutic approach, Grace values individual uniqueness within the tapestry of relationships. Within that tapestry she focuses on exploring dynamics, patterns, and interactions that shape relationships. She is particularly excited to pursue her passion and calling of supporting couples facing relationship challenges. As an immigrant herself, Grace also looks forward to helping immigrant couples and families feel heard, understood, and empowered in their personal and cultural struggles.

Grace was born and raised in South Korea and moved to Washington state for her college education. Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Grace finds solace and inspiration in her relationship with God, which permeates every aspect of her life. She also loves music, creative arts, and spending time outdoors with her husband and beloved dog.
