GRACE LEE (She/Her)

LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST ASSOCIATE

We all have fears that exist inside of us, whether it’s the fear of rejection, abandonment, disappointment, or failure. These fears can make us feel confused, lost, anxious and angry. As your therapist, I want to help you tend to these fears rather than avoid or shun them. I believe that when we take time to get vulnerable and understand our fears, it unlocks compassion and acceptance for ourselves. This acceptance can provide us what we need to live our lives not dictated by an inner critic but by who we are. I believe that all people at their core have a great capacity to love and be loved.

Much of the work I do centers around individuals and couples, who are navigating relationships, whether that’s romantic, siblings, parent-child or friendships. I enjoy working on issues related to emotional connection, conflict resolution, unhealthy relationship patterns, boundary setting and engaging in difficult yet necessary conversations. I also enjoy working with clients with varying concerns such as self-esteem, anxiety, stress, body image, and integration of multiple identities.

During our time together, I hope to create a space where you can be your authentic self. My approach is often not about finding the single fix-all solution. Rather, I emphasize the strength in living in ambiguity or as I like to say it, “living in the tension”. Oftentimes, life does not feel all that clear; what the “right thing to do or say” does not feel all that clear. In this ambiguity or tension, I hope to help you build the security to live and thrive in it anyway.

As a wife, daughter, friend, therapist and self-proclaimed hype woman, I hope to celebrate your wins and mourn your losses while guiding you in finding and experiencing what you are looking for. Upon completing my undergraduate program at the University of Washington, I worked two years in the tech industry. After some time, I realized my heart and passion lied elsewhere, so I completed my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I look forward to connecting with you and beginning the meaningful work of therapy together!
