EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR & LICENSED MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPIST
Liz is the Executive Director of Unity Collective and provides clinical supervision as a part of her role. Liz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 12 years of clinical experience and is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.
Liz has worked with a diverse population of clients through her time working in various settings as a child and family therapist at a community mental health agency, a substance use disorder counselor at a medical clinic, prevention specialist at schools, a family therapist at an intensive outpatient addiction treatment center, and in private practice.
She now works primarily with individual adults and couples, and specializes in working with interracial couples, interfaith couples, and adults navigating burnout, trauma, identity exploration, and/or substance use challenges.
Liz values collaborative, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches in the therapeutic relationship. After growing up in NYC with Korean immigrant parents and spending time living in the Midwest and in Seattle, Liz has a deep appreciation for regional cultural differences and its intersections with various social identities. Her style of therapy draws from various modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
In her free time, Liz enjoys gardening, playing with her two little ones and two cats, and spending quality time laughing and having good conversation with friends and family.
